Evidence of Masseur employment scam presented to Pattaya Police Chief.

Over the weekend a group of 20 masseurs held a meeting with Police Colonel Nantawoot, the Chief of Pattaya Police to ask for an investigation into a Thai Woman who had scammed a group of 40 masseurs out of money which they had paid over so they could work in their chosen profession in a foreign country. The women explained that the so-called agent was Khun Wanee aged 48, who is the owner of a massage shop opposite the Island View Hotel in the Pratamnuk area in South Pattaya. She has signed contracts with the masseurs who would be sent to Qatar and Bahrain to work as masseurs. Pattaya Police arrest 4 men suspected of taking drugs in wooden shack.

Pattaya Police received a tip-off that a group of men were using a small wooden shack in South Pattaya as a place to take drugs. A team of Police Officers went to the location and arrested 4 men aged between 31 and 42. One of them, Khun Apichart aged 31 was found to be carrying 4 Yabba Tablets. The men were all taken to the Police Station and all failed urine tests confirming they had recently ingested methamphetamine in the form of Yabba Tablets. The men were caught in an area of high crime, under the overpass leading to the Bali Hai Port and the Pattaya Police Chief has promised to conduct regular operations in the area.

Pregnant Cambodian shot in the stomach close to East Pattaya convenience store.

In the early hours of Sunday Morning, a 27 year old pregnant Cambodian Woman, Miss Thea Chhun was rushed to Banglamung Hospital after she had been shot in the stomach after an encounter with a local gang of youths. The woman, explained that she was walking to a local convenience store close to the Maprachan Reservoir and began to feel light-headed and needed to sit down. Suddenly she heard the sound of gun fire and stood up, at which point, she was hit by a bullet which penetrated her stomach. Miss Chhun who is only 1 month pregnant was examined by doctors and the embryo was unaffected by the gun shot. For now, Police suspect she was caught by a stray bullet fired by one of the

Suspected Necklace Thief caught thanks to engine failure.

If you choose to wear expensive jewelry in public or even carry shoulder bags, please note that thefts of such items is on the increase. Just before daybreak on Sunday Morning another necklace snatch took place in front of a Snooker Hall at the south-end of Pattaya Third Road. The victim, Khun Nipaporn aged 22 was eating noodles next to the Snooker Hall and when she had finished she joined her Australian boyfriend on his motorbike. As he was trying to start the bike, a Thai Man approached on a further bike and snatched her 1 Baht weighted gold necklace worth around 17,000 Baht. Luckily the engine of the assailants motorbike cut-out and passers-by managed to apprehend the suspected thief,

Stolen pick-up recovered after Pattaya Police chase through Jomtien.

Back on 27th March at 1am, two men stole a pick-up which was parked up on the road running adjacent to the train track close to the Tamsamakee Temple. Inside was its driver who was sleeping. Khun Somsak aged 33 was dragged from his car and thrown to the floor. The two assailants then drove off in the Bronze Nissan Nivara pick-up. Since that time Police have been searching for the vehicle and over the weekend, a checkpoint had been set-up in Soi 7 off the Tepprasit Road in Jomtien. The vehicle was spotted by officers who attempted to stop it. The vehicle did not stop and a chase ensued. Eventually the vehicle stopped on Jomtien Beach Road and the driver and passengers decamped. 9 people
