In the early hours of Monday Morning a fatal road accident occurred on the Sukumvit Road close to the entrance to Nong Nooch Gardens. The accident involved a Blue Toyota Tiger Pick-up which had been driven by Khun Ngern who decided to leave the scene of the crash before authorities arrived. The truck was full of construction workers sitting on the back of the vehicle. The driver had apparently lost control and slammed into an electric pylon situated in the central reservation. Those riding on the back of the truck were thrown from the vehicle and suffered a variety of injuries and one man, Khun Supiet aged 44 lost his life and was pronounced dead-at-the-scene. The injured men explained to Police that they had all been drinking throughout the night, including the pick-up driver. They had left a construction site in Sattahip and were on their way to a constructor’s campsite in Soi Wat Yam in Na-Jomtien when the accident happened. Police are now searching for the driver of the pick-up who remains at large at this time.
