On Wednesday morning the Mayor of Pattaya Khun Itipon met with members of the Pattaya City Football team in front of City Hall for an informal photo session.
Now renamed as the Hot Tuna Pattaya City Football team the players and officials were issued with their new livery while the mayor addressed the media. He said the team will be competing in the Thailand Premier League and if they are successful stand to earn 1.5 million baht for first or 500,000 baht for second place. A top-two finish in the League could see them go on and compete in the Asian league.
The mayor and team members then paid homage to the King Thaksin the Great statue at the front of City Hall.
