On Wednesday a press conference conducted at City Hall and chaired by Khun Wirawat, a deputy mayor and Khun Boongiet, the managing director of VC Spot Productions, announced the forthcoming 6th Pattaya Country Music Competition. Although there have already been 107 entries, the numbers will be reduced by a panel of judges to just eight finalists. The public part of the competition will commence on 14th March at the Central Festival Pattaya Beach where the competitors get a chance to showcase their talents before the general public. The competition will be broadcast live on radio station 104.75FM where listeners can SMS votes for their favorites. The final will be held on 8th May at the same location. The winner will receive 15,000 baht and a recording contract.
