On Tuesday, Nongprue Municipal Security Officers received a report of a Monk and two other men collecting money on behalf of a Temple located in Buri Ram Province. The Monk was located in Soi Kow Tha Low. He was accompanied by two men, Khun Sitishai aged 34 and Khun Chachawan aged 18. The monk’s papers were checked and there appeared to be an irregularity with the document in relation to the picture of the monk and the officials claimed that the document had been tampered with in some way. Checks were made and the monk was found to be genuine and resides in a Temple in Nakom Panom Province in the North-East of Thailand. However he had not reported to his superiors that he had left the temple. As a precaution the money collected for the temple in Buri Rum was gathered up and posted to the temple and the Monk was asked to return to his temple in Nakom Panom and was free to leave.
