On Tuesday Night, Police Major Arun, the Inspector-in-charge of Pattaya’s Tourist Police Division went to Walking Street to speak with Tourists and reassure them that the upcoming political protests in Bangkok should not affect their stay here in Pattaya. The Major spoke with a number of Tourists and presented them with leaflets which indicated the Emergency Number of the Tourist Police which is 1155 and the leaflet also contained a number of other essential numbers. The majority of Tourists seemed unconcerned with the protests which are expected to take place in Bangkok between 12th and 14th March and feel safe here in Pattaya. Many thanked the Tourist Police for having a presence on Walking Street and also thanked the Foreign Tourist Police Assistants who will often deal with Tourist complaints and requests for information at the Tourist Police Mobile Unit based at the northern end of the street.
